Dave Gering has been the MIC’s Executive Director since 1999 and the TMA’s Executive Director since its creation. In 1996, he was the lead author and researcher for the "King County Council Report to the Public: Family Wage Job Base", which provided the defining analysis for creation of the manufacturing industrial center strategy for King County under the Growth Management Act. He has served on too many committees and stakeholders groups to enumerate, but was a Co-Chair of the King County Commission on Governance in 2003-04.
Mr. Gering was the Communication Director for the King County Council from 1989 through 1994 after working 12 years as a journalist for Seattle-based publications including the Seattle Times.
